JOHN CICORA
John Cicora is a Chicago-based director, composer, and performer. He is the resident Music Director at The Inconvenience as well as The Cooke Book: The Music of Sam Cooke, and played keyboard/guitar in the Chicago-based Talking Heads Tribute: This Must Be The Band. John has worked extensively in the music/theater community in Chicago, and has been involved in shows at Steppenwolf, Chicago Children’s Theater, Second City, The Lyric Opera, and many more. While living in Chicago, he has had the privilege to work directly with or alongside members of Destiny’s Child, John Prine, The Handsome Family, David Byrne, Norah Jones, Dixie Chicks, Kurt Elling, Jessie Mueller, Shemekia Copeland, Natalie Merchant, John Hall, Yoko Ono, Sting, among others. He has signed licensing deals with Penguin Publishing and Warner Bros., and can be heard on two Vanguard Records recordings with singer/songwriter Daphne Willis.
